Bezier Curve Editor

Easing in Blender lives in the Graph Editor: select keyframes, grab handles, drag until the motion feels right, repeat per channel. Bezier Curve Editor gives you a small easing graph instead — drag two control points into the shape you want and apply it to the selected keyframes. It is the workflow motion designers know from After Effects easing tools, brought to Blender’s timeline.

What It Does

  • Edits an easing curve by dragging control points on a graph, then applies it to the keyframes you have selected
  • Auto Apply mode updates the animation live as you drag, so you judge the curve against playback
  • Supports elastic curves, not just standard ease in and out shapes
  • Saves curves you reuse as presets, removed again with shift-click
  • Hold Shift to snap to the edge, Ctrl to snap to the grid, for repeatable curve shapes
  • Pan with the middle mouse and zoom with the scroll wheel inside the editor

Good To Know

  • Free and open source under GPL-3.0-or-later, by IcedDog, with an issue tracker on GitHub. Also distributed on BOOTH
  • Version 1.0.9, Blender 4.2 LTS and newer, 37 KB. No permissions requested
  • 21,200+ downloads on Blender Extensions, rated 5.0 from 9 reviews
  • The button is in the top-right corner of the Timeline or Info editor, not in the Graph Editor sidebar where you would look for it. This is the single most likely reason to install it and conclude nothing happened
  • It applies one easing shape to whatever keyframes are selected. It does not replace the Graph Editor and it does not manage keys — selection is still your job, and a bad selection gives you a confidently wrong result

Where It Fits

Install this if you think in easing curves — motion graphics, UI animation, product and title work, and anyone arriving from After Effects who finds Blender’s handle-dragging slow for the same job. At 37 KB it costs nothing to keep around. Character animators who tune each channel’s handles individually will find it too blunt an instrument, because one curve across a selection is exactly what they are trying not to do.
