Sculpt Bridge Tool is a free Blender add-on for bridging and connecting geometry during sculpting — free for both personal and commercial use, with an optional tip.
The Gap It Fills
Sculpt Mode is built for pushing surfaces around, not for changing what connects to what. The moment you want to join two forms — an arm to a torso, a horn to a skull, a handle to a body — you are back in Edit Mode doing polygon work, then back to sculpting, then back again.
That mode-switching breaks the flow that makes sculpting productive in the first place.
What It Enables
Bridging without leaving the sculpt. You can build a form from separate pieces and merge them as you go, which suits the way most people actually block out a character: rough masses first, connected later.
Where This Sits in a Sculpting Workflow
Alongside remeshing. Bridge the forms, then voxel remesh (Ctrl+R) to unify the topology into an even density you can keep sculpting on.
That pairing — join, remesh, refine — is the core loop of blockout sculpting, and it is worth learning properly. See our guide to sculpting in Blender for how remeshing fits in.
Worth Knowing
Anything bridged during sculpting will have topology that suits sculpting, not animation. That is fine — sculpts are not animation meshes.
If the model needs to deform, it needs retopology afterwards regardless of how clean the bridge looked.
